The Role

Boat Rocker Studios is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated law student to assist our Business and Legal Affairs department this summer while gaining work experience in entertainment and corporate law. This position is a tremendous opportunity for anyone who would like to build a career as an entertainment lawyer.

*This role will require the successful applicant to work in person from our Toronto office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the review, negotiation and drafting of agreements, templates, policies, and other company documents.

  • Undertake research and advise internal clients on legal and regulatory matters, talent guild matters and funding agency requirements .

  • Provide support on general corporate and administrative matters related to the company’s business and legal affairs.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of first year of law degree by May 2026 (or second year if joint program).

  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

  • A keen interest in working in entertainment law.


Salary Range: $17.60/hour
