*This role is part of a hybrid work model and will require you to work from our Toronto office 3 days per week. We will be offering Ontario minimum wage for this role. The Role
Boat Rocker Studios is seeking a dynamic individual who takes initiative, feels passionately about their work and will support the Boat Rocker Creative Affairs team on a variety of new and ongoing projects. Our ideal candidate is enrolled in media studies or a related field, and is eager to learn about the media industry and adapt to the fast-paced, ever changing environment.Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter with their application before Friday, February 13th at 5:00 pm EST.

Responsibilities
- Manage the department’s filing systems, databases, and other administrative tasks
- Draft meeting minutes and distribute accordingly
- Manage various team calendars and coordinate meetings
- Review creative materials and compose coverage
- Ad hoc research projects related to series in development
- Create talent, writer and director lists for projects in development
- Support ongoing production matters as needed
Qualifications
- Pursing a degree in media studies or a similar field is required
- Possesses excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and problem-solving approach
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Sharp creative instincts with a general understanding of the television landscape
- Understanding of story structure, character development and written prose is an asset
- A self-starter with a keen interest to learn
- Confidence in person and on the phone
- Enthusiasm and passion for TV
Interns Will Have the Opportunity To:

- Network with the employees at Boat Rocker Media, build connections and gain exposure to different opportunities in the industry
