Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

As a Director of FP&A, you will partner closely with the VP of FP&A and the broader planning team to thoughtfully guide the organization through a collaborative financial and analytical lens. You will steward key areas of the planning function and strategic assessment process, helping shape models and deliverables that evolve with the company’s growth. Your perspective, insights, and recommendations will support alignment among stakeholders and the leadership team, nurturing well-informed financial decisions and contributing meaningfully to CreatorIQ’s commercial and financial goals.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Financial Planning: Guide and enhance the budget and forecast process for key commercial areas of the organization—including revenue, sales, marketing, and other strategic functions—ensuring thoughtful alignment across teams.

  • Performance Tracking: Elevate and ensure alignment on crucial topline business KPI targets, and facilitate tracking and assessment of business performance against those metrics.

  • Strategic Analysis & Decision Support: Develop and manage complex strategic models with care and precision, translating insights into clear, strategic recommendations that empower partners to make confident decisions.

  • Business Intelligence & Data Analysis: Work closely with the BI team to uncover trends and insights that strengthen revenue opportunities and promote balanced, cost-effective growth.

  • Business Partnership: Foster trusted relationships with the executive team and cross-functional partners—including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Accounting—to ensure shared understanding and cohesive decision-making.

  • Communication: Present assessments and recommendations clearly, thoughtfully, and engagingly to support alignment among stakeholders and encourage well-informed financial decisions.

  • Team Building: partner with the VP of FP&A to expand and develop key areas of the FP&A team as the organization grows.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in management consulting or investment banking, or 10+ years in corporate finance. Experience in SaaS, tech, or high-growth environments is especially valuable and helps foster stronger partnerships across teams.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (finance, economics); Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Comfort and confidence in advanced Excel modeling, with the ability to guide others in understanding complex analyses. Experience with financial planning tools is a helpful complement.

  • Analytical Skills: A naturally curious and collaborative financial thinker who enjoys exploring challenging questions, uncovering meaningful insights, and bringing clarity to complex datasets. You thoughtfully translate analysis into balanced, actionable recommendations that support shared understanding.

  • Communication Skills: A strong listener and communicator with the ability to connect with partners across the organization. You bring well-developed emotional intelligence and a supportive approach to building alignment.

  • Attitude & Cultural Champion: A flexible team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude, comfortable working in a fast-growing often uncertain environment, embracing a “no job too small” startup mentality, while having fun in the workplace.

Confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But we'll let you in on a secret: there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate. Have 50% of the criteria? Excited about this opportunity? Passionate about what we do at CreatorIQ? Please apply! CreatorIQ is a place where everyone can grow.

What you will get from us:

  • People: work with talented, collaborative, and friendly people who love what they do.

  • Guidance: utilize our learning platform to fully get the training and tools you’ll need to become successful here from your first day with us.

  • Surprise meal stipends: work from home can’t stop the enjoyment of someone else making a meal for you!

  • Work/life harmony: 15 days vacation, floating and set holidays, wellness allowance, and paid parental leave.

  • Whole Health Package: medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and more.

  • Savings: a 401k (USA) plan to help you plan ahead.
