FanDuel is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Enterprise IT Principal Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, systems design, and strategic planning to drive technological innovation and ensure the alignment of IT solutions with the organization's business goals. As an Enterprise IT Principal Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape, driving efficient processes, and enhancing overall IT capabilities.

THE GAME PLAN

As the Enterprise IT Principal Architect, you will:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges, and translate them into comprehensive technical solutions that drive business value.
  • Develop and maintain a holistic Enterprise IT architecture strategy that encompasses infrastructure, applications, data, security, and integration across the organization.
  • Create detailed architectural documentation, including system diagrams, technical specifications, and standards, to guide the implementation and maintenance of IT solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies that align with industry best practices and support the organization's long-term objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex IT projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security while adhering to established architectural principles aligned to the API first strategy.
  • Good understanding of employee processes and implementing supporting technology strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation across the IT landscape.
  • Conduct regular technology assessments and audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with architectural guidelines and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, guiding them in the successful execution of projects and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to stay ahead of technological advancements and recommend adjustments to the enterprise architecture as needed.
  • Partner with vendors and third-party providers to assess and integrate external solutions into the existing architecture when necessary.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to various audiences.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Advanced certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Okta, Microsoft, Atlassian) are a plus.
  • Proven experience (min 3 years) working as an Enterprise IT Architect or a similar role in a complex and medium-scale IT environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing IT solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools based on business requirements.
  • Experience with security principles, compliance standards, and data protection strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
