  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track AWS and DataDog spending and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development of strategies to optimize cloud spending while maintaining performance and scalability.
  • Provide detailed financial reporting and insights to stakeholders, helping them understand cloud costs and make informed decisions.
  • Assist in cost governance processes, including contribution to the development of budgets, defining cost policies, and enforcing compliance.
  • Develop and maintain PowerPoint presentations for stakeholders.
  • Create Purchase Orders, obtain contract approvals and track associated activities.
  • Stay informed about AWS and DataDog services, pricing models, discounts, and new cost management features to maximize cost efficiency.

What we’re looking for in our next teammate

  • Proficiency with AWS Cost Management and other third-party tools for managing costs and optimizing resources.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Experience with observability tools (ie: DataDog, etc.) as well as Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with cloud technology and financial management trends.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS, FinOps, or cloud financial management are a plus.
  • Experience with scripting and query languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
