THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Business Control Senior Analyst to drive our first line risk and control initiatives for the People Team. As a member of the People Team, you will play a key role ensuring risk management and compliance practices are appropriately managed and adequately scaled within the department. Responsibilities include partnership with the People Team to develop practices that meet FanDuel's regulatory obligations, scaling capabilities of internal operations through enhanced controls and other risk mitigation efforts, and implementation of sustainable solutions for governance and self-assurance activities within the department.
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

In alignment with FanDuel's Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the direction of the Business Control Manager:
- Document, maintain, centralize, and manage the department's policies, procedures, risks, processes, issues, and controls
- Advise and execute on process and internal control enhancement efforts
- Support the execution of risk assessment, identification, monitoring, and reporting processes
- Partner with stakeholders to implement timely solutions related to known risks and issues
- Develop, manage, and deliver tailored risk and compliance training material and targeted communication processes for industry best practices and regulatory obligations
- Identify opportunities for cross-department collaboration to increase efficiency in People team processes
- Facilitate alignment and clear communication between stakeholders and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit teams, ensuring all parties remain informed and coordinated
- Provide comprehensive and timely evidence in response to regulatory inquiries
- Support the development and implementation of comprehensive metric reporting via GRC tools, Jira, and Confluence
- Build strong professional relationships with the leadership in the business
- Isolate, combine, and analyze data to inform strategic decisions
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 3+ years of experience in risk, compliance, and/or audit roles
- A strong aptitude for documenting processes, controls, policies, and procedures, analytics and reporting
- Experience writing and assessing risks and controls and drafting executive summaries on business processes
- An exceptional team builder and team player
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Dedicated team player who is able to withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
- A self-starter with energy to follow-through and own the outcome
- Comfortable participating and/or presenting in meetings with leadership
- Highly organized, results driven, problem solver, and collaborator
- Basic knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance a plus
- Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $94,000 - $117,500 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
