THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Business Controls Manager to drive our first line risk and control initiatives. You will play a key role on the Sports Business Unit team, ensuring risk management and compliance practices are appropriately managed and adequately scaled within the BU. You and your team will be focused on developing practices to meet FanDuel’s regulatory obligations, scaling capabilities of internal operations through enhanced controls and other risk mitigation efforts, and influencing leadership with the implementation of sustainable solutions for governance and sell-assurance activities within the BU.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Drive transformational change through BU-wide process improvements - Lead cross-functional teams in developing strategic initiatives, process improvements, and program optimization to help teams run more efficiently and in compliance with Flutter’s standards
  • Influence and Partner with Executive Stakeholders - Serve as the business unit's strategic voice in C-suite strategy sessions and executive committee meetings on critical risk and control initiatives
  • Champion best-in-class risk management - Conduct comprehensive assessments against industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements to position FanDuel as a market leader
  • Lead audit excellence - Direct high-impact audit initiatives and response strategies with ELT and Flutter that demonstrate organizational maturity
  • Shape technology strategy - Provide expert advisory on data and technology capabilities that drive business transformation, leaning heavily into the latest AI technologies.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
  • A strong aptitude for documenting processes, controls, policies, and procedures, analytics and reporting
  • Program and project implementation skillset required
  • Experience writing and assessing risks and controls and drafting executive summaries on business processes
  • An exceptional team builder and team player
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
  • Dedicated team player who can withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized, results driven, problem solver, and collaborator

The applicable salary range for this position is $112,000 - $140,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
