FanDuel is looking for a VP of Marketing Analytics / Marketing Science to define and lead how we measure the effectiveness of our media investments, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships.
Reporting to the SVP of Media & Partnerships, this leader will shape the strategy and framework for evaluating the performance and commercial impact of FanDuel’s media investments across channels including paid media, sports leagues, teams, talent partnerships, and media distribution platforms.
The role will combine advanced analytics, modern measurement methodologies, and industry expertise to help FanDuel better understand the value of our marketing investments and partnerships, enabling smarter investment decisions and stronger long-term deals.
This leader will partner closely with Media, Partnerships, Finance, Data Science, and Commercial teams to build scalable measurement frameworks, develop robust analytics tools and dashboards, and translate insights into strategic recommendations that shape how FanDuel invests in media and partnerships.

Define the Media & Partnership Measurement Strategy
- Establish the vision and roadmap for measuring the effectiveness of FanDuel’s media investments, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop frameworks to evaluate ROI, incrementality, and brand impact across FanDuel’s media and partnership ecosystem.
- Build scalable measurement approaches that connect media exposure and sponsorship assets to commercial outcomes.
Sponsorship & Partnership Analytics
- Develop analytical frameworks to evaluate the performance and value of league partnerships, team sponsorships, talent relationships, and media partnerships.
- Support commercial negotiations by providing data-driven valuations of partnership opportunities and media deals.
- Measure the impact of sponsorship activations and integrations across multiple platforms and audiences.
Media Investment Effectiveness
- Partner with Media leadership to analyze the performance and efficiency of media investments across the full media mix.
- Implement and oversee modern measurement methodologies including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), experimentation, attribution, and incrementality testing.
- Provide insights that inform media planning, investment allocation, and long-term strategic partnerships.
Measurement Innovation & Analytics Infrastructure
- Evaluate and implement modern analytics tools, AI capabilities, and measurement technologies to improve FanDuel’s media analytics capabilities.
- Lead the development of dashboards, reporting frameworks, and self-service analytics tools that provide clear and actionable insights for media and partnership teams.
- Ensure internal and external data sources are integrated to support robust measurement and analysis.
Strategic Insights & Executive Communication
- Translate complex data and modeling outputs into clear insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Provide regular performance reporting and analysis on major media investments, sponsorship programs, and partnership initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to Media & Partnerships leadership on investment decisions and future opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing analytics team focused on media measurement and partnership analytics.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with internal analytics, data science, and technology teams to deliver scalable and impactful measurement solutions.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in marketing analytics, marketing science, or media measurement
- Experience working in media agencies, marketing consultancies, or advanced analytics organizations strongly preferred
- Deep expertise in marketing measurement methodologies, including:
- Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM)
- Attribution and incrementality testing
- Experimental design and causal inference
- Media and sponsorship performance analysis
- Strong understanding of the modern media ecosystem, including digital media, sports media, sponsorships, and brand partnerships
- Experience evaluating commercial value and ROI of media and partnership investments
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics techniques applied to marketing performance
- Proficiency with analytics and data tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Strong ability to translate complex analytics into actionable insights for senior leadership
- Proven experience leading and developing analytics or data science teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science (advanced degree preferred)
- Knowledge of sports media, sponsorship ecosystems, or regulated industries is a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $228,000 - $304,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
