The Role:
Gametime is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as a Director of Trust and Safety. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing a team of professionals who investigate fraudulent activity, with a particular focus on credit card fraud. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our platform and ensuring a secure and trustworthy experience for our customers.
What you'll do / own:
- Lead and manage a team of dedicated professionals responsible for investigating and preventing fraudulent activity, particularly credit card fraud.
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and processes to proactively identify and react to fraudulent activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Legal, and Customer Support, to design and implement fraud prevention measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and assess potential risks, implementing appropriate mechanisms to mitigate these risks.
- Establish and foster effective relationships with external partners, such as financial institutions, payment processors, law enforcement agencies, and industry associations, to stay updated on emerging trends, share best practices, and leverage external resources to combat fraud.
- Stakeholder management, including providing regular reports and updates to executive leadership and other relevant parties on fraud trends, patterns, and business impact.
- Conduct internal investigations and collaborate with external agencies, when necessary, to support criminal investigations and legal proceedings related to fraudulent activity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques related to fraud prevention and detection, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
A little more about you:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Finance, Criminal Justice, or related disciplines. Or equivalent job experience
- Proven experience in leading a team responsible for investigating and preventing fraudulent activities, with a focus on credit card fraud.
- In-depth knowledge of fraud prevention methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and law enforcement agencies.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards related to fraud prevention and detection.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality.
