Snapshot of the Role:

This person will be responsible for the global performance, operations, and strategy of our Meta Platforms and for driving collaboration across teams and other channel leads within MasterClass.

This is an ideal role for a seasoned performance marketer who wants to work with a tech-savvy team building best-in-class, scalable Meta campaigns with direct ties to company revenue.

What You Will Do:

  • Customer Acquisition & Media Management
    • Manage implementation, reporting, optimizations, budget allocation, and performance for Meta paid advertising.
    • Oversee daily operations of the Meta Platform, including settings, tracking, and troubleshooting within Meta Ads Manager.
  • Strategy & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Collaborate with MarTech and Engineering teams to refine and implement measurement solutions for Meta, including third-party partners like Media Mix Modeling.
    • Partner with senior team members and leadership to identify strategic opportunities and tests, presenting findings to executive leadership.
  • Campaign & Creative Development
    • Build and manage media plans for Paid Media, working with the Creative team on new ad formats and messaging.
    • Lead creative sessions for major launches, collaborating with project managers, producers, and creative teams.
  • Team & Performance Management
    • Lead the performance marketing team to optimize campaigns, fostering a collaborative environment and developing team skills.
    • Design and manage campaigns with marketing and data partners, refining structure, targeting, bid strategies, and optimizations.
  • Measurement & Technical Improvement
    • Develop and leverage measurement strategies with the Data team to assess acquisition/retargeting campaign impacts.
    • Suggest technical improvements in ad and product layers to drive revenue growth.
  • Continuous Optimization & Best Practices
    • Test and iterate on creative, targeting, and ad formats, including partnerships and influencers.
    • Stay updated on Meta trends and best practices, adjusting strategies for platform updates and algorithm changes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years in Paid Marketing roles, across any channel
  • Minimum 4+ years working with Meta Ads Manager
  • Minimum 1 year managing a Performance Marketing Team
  • Expert knowledge of self-serve ad platforms (Meta, Google Ads, Google 360 Suite, etc.) with insights into industry trends, bidding, targeting, creative, and platform best practices
  • Experience collaborating with teams such as Creative, Data, Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Growth, and Go-To-Market leaders
  • Proven experience in a growth-oriented company, building and scaling new channels while achieving aggressive prospecting and acquisition goals
  • Proficiency with A/B, Conversion Lift, and Incrementality testing; comfortable with regression analysis and advanced analytics techniques
  • Regular experience presenting to VP and above stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Comfort with learning new processes and suggesting improvements
  • Extensive experience in pulling data and generating reports for strategic insights

Nice-To-Haves (Preferred Experience:)

  • Prior agency experience
  • Experience with SQL, Looker, and Amplitude
  • Experience with DCO and Creative Automation platforms
  • T-shaped growth marketing skill set: performance marketing generalists capable of contributing across various marketing domains while specializing deeply in one area

The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.

MasterClass’s salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more). The range listed is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
