Scopely is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Playgami team in Mexico City on a hybrid basis working 3 days a week from the hub!

Playgami is building the best SaaS gaming platform ever! The team strives to create the world’s best products for game production, operation, and insights. Powering many award-winning, loved-by-millions franchise games over mobile, web, and PC.

What You’ll Do

• Design, architect and help implement features to run world-class games at scale
• Drive the integration of new features directly with game teams using technologies like Java, C#, and NodeJs
• Take responsibility for the quality of what the team creates, helping to establish good practices
• Ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and highly performant
• Deliver code and supporting documentation of the highest quality through good design, attention to detail and system testing on a timely basis
• Work in an agile environment where your opinions matter
• Team up with skilled colleagues who are committed to delivering the best products possible
• Share knowledge, provide feedback, and help colleagues both inside and outside of your team

What We’re Looking For

• Strong computer science and engineering fundamentals (data structures, concurrency, design patterns, algorithms)
• 3+ years of experience working with Java, C#, or another OO language, including experience with asynchronous, multi-threaded, parallel programming paradigms
• Solid experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP...) and low-latency, high-scale distributed systems
• High-quality and maintainable code writing
• Strong English language skills are required for this role, as we have a highly diverse and global business

Bonus Points

• Web development experience on a modern technology such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience with and knowledge of Unity Game Engine or similar technology (i.e. Unreal Engine)
• Experience owning and driving the technical execution of complex and interdisciplinary development
