We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee and manage the AP team in the Bangalore office.

What You’ll Do

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable operations, vendor management, and process improvement, combined with proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a team. This individual will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in AP processes while driving operational excellence.

  • Team Leadership & Supervision
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
    • Manage workload distribution and provide support on complex or escalated issues.
    • Accounts Payable Operations
    • Oversee invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment runs to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Monitor AP aging reports and resolve outstanding liabilities promptly.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and statutory compliance
  • Process Improvements & Controls
    • Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows and implement automation where possible.
    • Enhance internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and compliance breaches.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Treasury, Finance) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Vendor Management
    • Build strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely query resolution and effective communication.
    • Negotiate payment terms and support vendor onboarding.
  • Reporting & Audit Support
    • Prepare monthly AP reports, KPIs, and dashboards for management review.
    • Support internal and external audits by ensuring complete, accurate, and timely documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • ~4 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable in international environments with experience in US and European based companies
  • 3–4 years of supervisory/team lead experience in AP operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
