Scopely is looking for a UX Director to join the Monopoly GO! team. This role is based in Seville with hybrid flexibility.

The Monopoly GO! team is one of our key franchises and has become one of Scopely’s largest games. The teams sit globally, with the bulk of their members located throughout Spain and the US.
What You Will Do
In this UX Director role, you will lead and grow the UX Design team for Monopoly GO!, driving the strategic direction of UX and ensuring high-quality, player-centric experiences across the product.
- Lead a distributed team of UX Designers across Europe, providing coaching, performance management, and guidance to ensure the team delivers high-quality work consistently across a wide range of game features.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Game Design, Art, Data, and Research teams to define UX strategy and ensure strong alignment with product goals and player needs.
- Uphold the product vision and UX pillars across the game, establishing design principles, quality standards, and scalable processes that enable the team to operate efficiently and sustainably.
- Review and critique design work at all stages, providing actionable feedback that helps designers grow while ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with long-term UX goals.
- Collaborate with the Research team to build and maintain a user research and validation strategy across discovery, iteration, and live operations.
- Interpret player data and KPIs with analytics partners, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to guide UX decisions.
- Ensure designers remain unblocked and supported, proactively identifying resource needs, process improvements, and risks across teams.
- Champion UX across the organization—advocating for player needs, building cross-functional partnerships, and promoting a user-centric mindset.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of UX design experience, including extensive work on mobile products; mobile games experience is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing UX teams, with a proven ability to hire, develop, and motivate talent.
- A track record of shaping UX strategy and driving successful execution in ambiguous or complex environments.
- Strong understanding of research methods, product analytics, and live-ops KPIs, with experience integrating insights into design decisions.
- Expertise in UX tools including Figma, Miro, and Google Workspace.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence partners and stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, empathetic leader who fosters inclusive team culture and elevates the craft of UX across the organization.
