The Role
As the Content Operations Manager, you will lead a globally distributed team of 4-6 Content Operations Associates dedicated to executing and optimizing content partnerships on our platform. Together, you will manage and enhance TuneIn’s extensive catalog of 120,000 stations across several connected devices, using our content management systems and tools to increase listening hours and user engagement.
Scope of Work
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and manage performance for a team of Content Operations Associates, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
- Content Operations & Management: Oversee day-to-day content operations, including digital advertising configurations and live event coordination within our content management systems.
- Catalog Maintenance: Ensure station information—such as schedules, logos, and streams—is accurate and current in partnership with our content providers.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Content, Broadcast partners, Marketing, Design, Engineering and other technical partners to curate and surface high-quality content that drives user satisfaction and engagement.
- Process Improvement: Analyze workflows, tools, and technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
- Investigation and Troubleshooting: Lead efforts to investigate and resolve issues affecting content streams, collaborating closely with Engineering and Content teams. You’ll play a key role in diagnosing the root causes of streaming problems within TuneIn’s vast and complex ecosystem, requiring perseverance, technical insight, and cross-functional coordination to ensure reliable, high-quality content delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits to verify the accuracy of back-end functionality and content delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in content operations, content management, or related fields.
- Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with CMS tools.
- Experience with basic analytics tools and strong analytical skills to interpret content performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and adapt to technical tools, such as CMS platforms, as well as a basic understanding of data management (e.g., SQL querying skills or automation tools) to support efficient operations.
- Experience leading technical investigations and troubleshooting efforts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex issues and work effectively across teams.
- Ability to navigate competing priorities while maintaining a balanced approach.

- Hands-on experience in content curation, metadata management, and efficient content workflows.
- Familiarity with streaming protocols and radio broadcasting standards
- Understanding of audio formats.
- Programming and database querying skills.
Working Hours
Due to the global distribution of our teams, this role requires a work schedule from 12:30 PM to 7:30 PM local time in Poland. This schedule ensures a two-hour daily overlap with our US-based team, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration on cross-functional projects. The adjusted hours are essential for maintaining alignment and effective teamwork across time zones.
